Gardens & Trails
The East Texas Arboretum is home to beautiful formal gardens, covered pavilions, shaded picnic areas, a children's play garden area and an historic home--but that's not all. There are over two miles of rugged nature trails to embark on and a paved, partially landscaped 1/3-mile handicap-accessible trail. We recommend that you wear comfortable, sturdy footwear on your arboretum garden and trail walk. If you bring along a container of liquid refreshment, please dispose of the container properly. Binoculars are a nice aid to get an up close look at the many birds and animals that live at the arboretum.
